RDA - working with Middleton Park

RDA is a federation of Member Groups, which are dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities, through the provision of opportunities for riding and/or carriage driving. Groups enable people to improve their health and wellbeing, delivering a real and lasting therapy that not only benefits mobility and co-ordination, but encourages confidence and self worth whilst having fun.

An enrolment form needs to be signed by a person in the medical profession and carer/guardian. The rider will be invited to come to the centre and be assessed. This gives the rider an opportunity to be introduced to the horse and helps us assess their co-ordination and balance.  Appropriate clothing i.e. trousers, gloves and sturdy footwear are advised to ensure the comfort and safety of the rider. We can provide the hats.

    • RDA bring together more than 500 volunteer groups throughout the UK. More than 25,000 adults and children enjoy the benefits of riding or carriage driving. Each year more than 18,000 dedicated volunteers give a total or more than 3.5 million hours of their time.

RDA National is the Governing body of the Federation, representing and providing support to 500 Member Groups. To find out more about the structure of RDA National and who we are, click here.

RDA National exits to support the Member Groups of the Federation – find out about what we do and what our plans are.
