Middleton Park and the area around
We have a social room for people to relax in between lessons and to take a break. And a class room. Yes back to school I am afraid to learn all about horses!
Our social room is fitted out with comfy seating and a kitchen area including a kettle, fridge and microwave so visitors can have an opportunity to relax. Vending machines are kept well stocked to see off the hunger pangs and provide hot and cold drinks.
The well equipped classroom has whiteboard and over head projector to help concentrate the mind for theory sessions. In addition to the visual aids there is a resourses cupboard with a large selection of books, feed samples, bedding materials, bits, shoes and a range of videos.

Much of Middleton Woods is Ancient Semi-natural Woodland. It forms a significant local landscape feature, prominent even from the city centre. The woods form a large natural oasis for wildlife, a relic landscape of what was once a part of the open countryside, but is now cut off from this and surrounded by roads, housing and general development. Nevertheless the woods provide a large enough natural resource to be a haven for the local wildlife. In addition, they provide a well used and a much valued facility for people to take part in both formal and informal recreation plus educational activities.
In 1992, the woods were designated a Local Nature Reserve (LNR) in recognition of their great value to wildlife in this urban location. Throughout the year, regular maintenance is required to maintain visitor facilities and wildlife habitats.
